The light surrounding the touchpad comes in handy at night, but sometimes when you are watching videos it's better to turn it off.
How to:
- Press and hold FN and then hit Spacebar
The touchpad remains active so you can still use it. If you want to turn off the touchpad just double tap on the upper left corner.
Excellent. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Jasse B. That light is sometimes very unpleasent. I hope that yoi or somebody else will find the way to turn the logo light on the cover, too. Regards from Croatia!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous from Crotia,
ReplyDeleteNo. I have not yet figured out an easy way of turning off the light. It could be done by disassembling the monitor and unplugging that light, but that's not easy or worth the risk.

ReplyDeleteand one more thing i used hp for last 4 years c2d it lost iots battery soon, cd drive in about a year was gone. later it had problems with its body of lid giving problems. i am just concerned of these issues still with hp or not ?
I am not clear on what systems you are talking about, so I cannot recommend one. Usually I would recommend higher spec systems.
DeleteHP's consumer line of computers has had issues including overheating. My current HP laptop does get quite hot when gaming, so I recommend having a cooling mat for those intensive tasks.
If you want something that is durable, although not pretty, get a Lenovo ThinkPad system. These systems are build to last a longer time. (4m)
hey i have hp pavilion dv6te quad edition with 8gb ram and 750gb hdd but i think so its not having good video quality and webcam do i return it.or there is any setting by which i can view best video quality.i did the video quality test by watching HQ video but performance is nit setisfactory
ReplyDeleteThere are different versions of the DV6T QE. There is one specific versions of the DV6T that has a very crappy, low performance graphic card. I am talking about the AMD 7470M version. Other versions have better graphics cards.
DeleteCompare specs (usually "more is better")
7400M series - http://www.amd.com/us/products/notebook/graphics/7000m/7400m/Pages/radeon-7400m.aspx#2
6700M series (what I got) - http://www.amd.com/US/PRODUCTS/NOTEBOOK/GRAPHICS/AMD-RADEON-6000M/AMD-RADEON-6700M-6600M/Pages/amd-radeon-6700m-6600m.aspx#2
If you are unhappy with the laptop, and are within the return date time or are able to pay the restocking fee then I recommend returning it, and getting a better version. (5m)
