Currently I use two computers: the Lenovo ThinkPad X230T and a HP Pavilion DV6T QE. While both of these systems can connect to the internet wirelessly, the results are not as good as a wired connection. The SIIG JU-NE0012-S1 is an adapter that lets me connect an ethernet cable to USB. Besides the increased speed, the JU-NE001-S1 can be connected to my Dell U3011 monitor. The USB hub of the monitor allows me to share several devices: such as keyboard, mouse, sound card, and now ethernet. So far the new configuration works well.
