Wacom DTU-1031 - Assign Correct Digitizer Screen

Gear: Wacom DTU-1031, Wacom TabletsLenovo ThinkPad X230T, and X230T Accessories.

When we connect two tablets we can run into conflicts. Often one of the tablets may not interact with itself, and instead affects the other. To correct the problem one must assign the "correct digitizer" screen.

How to on DTU-1031
  • Hit the Win key and type "Wacom Tablet Properties".
  • Go to the "Calibrate" tab.
  • Under "Monitor" select the "DTU-1031" screen.
  • The correct digitizer screen has been set, enjoy!
How to on the X230T
  • Hit the Win key and type "Pen Tablet Properties".
  • Go to the "Calibrate" tab.
  • Under "Monitor" select the X230T's screen ("Wide viewing angle & High density" or if you have the digitizer-only version of the system it may be called something else).
  • The correct digitizer screen has been set, enjoy!

This is the exact same issue as found in "Assign Correct Touch Screen."

My Lenovo X61 convetible laptop quit working 2 years ago. I've been missing stylus input since then and would like your current recommendation for a convertible laptop with Stylus input. I need more than 128 gb of memory, use MSOutlook with Exchange server to sync between android smartphone, HP laptop, and my I-Pad. I am a chemical consultant traveling in 3 states and need best mobile office scenario to minimize use of paper and speed up reporting, etc.

    1. At the moment my top recommendation for documents and average use would be the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix. The reasons are due to the increased digitizer pressure levels, updated screen resolution, and thinner body. For the power user I would still recommend the X230T as it delivers more power than most of the new Win 8 tablets. For the gamer I would recommend the Razer Edge Pro (and it’s too bad this one does not have digitizer input).

      I hope that helps.

  2. Hi Jesse, i try to connect my Wacom Intuous on my X230t and install the driver for win 7. Everything looks fine until i make a reboot and try to calibrate the Intuous. Cuase then i get the message: no Wacom detected. Have you install your DTU without any driver conflicts?

    1. No software conflicts on my end. I'm unsure how the Intuous software differs from the DTU, but I assume that it wouldn't have a great difference. Wacom support is likely to have a solution to the issue.
