Image Quality: Canon EOS 60D, Sony HDR-CX150, and Sony HDR-PJ710V (lens kit and wide angle)

Canon EOS 60D (5184 x 3456)

Here are a few comparison shots with three cameras: the Canon EOS 60D, Sony HDR-CX150, and the Sony HDR-PJ710V.  The day was not great for taking pictures, but it should show some quality differences.  The 60D is obviously the winner, followed by the PJ710V, and the CX150 shouldn't be used for taking images.

Sony HDR-CX150 (2048 x 1536)

Sony HDR-PJ710V (6544 x 3680) with no filter.

Sony HDR-PJ710V (6544 x 3680) with Polarizer filter.

Sony HDR-PJ710V (6544 x 3680) with Wide Angle Lens (zoom out)

Sony HDR-PJ710V (6544 x 3680) with Wide Angle Lens (zoomed in)

Sony HDR-PJ710V (6544 x 3680) with Fluorescent Filter.

The PJ710V had a tiny smudge on the lens, so the images show a spot. Overall I think the EOS 60D is definitely superior, but I think the HDR-PJ710V will be sufficient for my needs.
