Lenovo ThinkPad X201 Tablet - First Post

Gear: X201T.

I'm a big fan of tablet computers and the Lenovo ThinkPad X201 Tablet is one of the best tablets out there right now (2010). Since I'm a tech addict I have to dive in and share what I find. This system is powerful enough and during the past 24 hours it has replaced my main computer which has a fairly powerful AMD Phenom II x4 at 3.4Ghz.

The X201T is a far more powerful system compared to the IdeaPad S10-3T that I played with earlier on. The X201T has a digitizer only or multi-touch + digitizer option. The Wacom digitizer allows you to do handwritten notes, which sets it apart from the touch only option. Of course if you get the multi-touch + digitizer version you can use your fingers ala iPad and Android tablets. Of course once you need to do serious typing you can turn the X201T into a laptop.

I have to say thanks to Jeff Witt and Mark Hopkins from Lenovo for loaning me a X201T. With the system at my place I was able to further explore Windows tablets. I had the X201T up until the release of the X220T in 2011.

I'll begin transfer the posts from the lenovox201.com blog to this blog. Some posts will be revised and improved, just like I did with the IdeaPad S10-3T posts. Enjoy!
