Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3T - Better Sleep/Wake Behavior (Disable Login Window)

Gear: S10-3T.

One of my favorite things about most modern tablets is the quick sleep/wake behavior. While I had the iPad it would be my morning pick because of this feature. Most Windows PCs take a while to either boot up or do sleep/wake, and then you have a login window (which is a bit annoying, and one more step to do). We can modify things a bit and make the sleep/wake behavior better.

  • Go to your Power Options
    • Press Win key and type "Power Options"
  • Click on "Choose what the power buttons do"
  • Click on "Don't require a password"
  • Press the "Save changes" button.

Even with an SSD the S10-3T is not as fast as the iPad on sleep/wake, but it works a tiny bit better. I did the same thing with the Samsung Series 7 Slate.
