Win 7 Tip - How To Disable UAC (User Account Control)

UAC is one of those things that sounds great in theory. It attempts to keep the user of a computer safer by advicing on system changes. The problem with UAC is that it's rather annoying as hell. For me it's better to just disable it completely.

How to disable UAC:
  • Hit Windows key and type "UAC"
  • Click on "Change User Account Control settings"
  • Lower the vertical bar to "Never notify"
  • Click "OK" button

You might have to restart the computer for the change to occur. Make sure to have some kind of anti-virus to keep your system safe. I use Microsoft Security Essentials.
